FSU MFA Thesis Film:
Pulling University is holding a campus-wide contest for any student organization to create the next promo video for the school’s admissions department due to sagging numbers. The winning organization will receive a $25,000 donation made to the philanthropy of their choice. The ladies of a local sorority enter the contest, but their president, Eliza, decides to hire a sleazy production company headed by the self-proclaimed “King of Wedding Videos,” Stu McNamara. Ryan recently lost the election to Eliza and finds this new direction repulsive, along with Stu’s personality. As a sister who many in the chapter look up to, Ryan takes it upon herself to fight the shenanigans of Stu’s “creative vision” at every turn, while also facing down her insecurities about her appearance. Ultimately, Ryan will have to step out and prove that looks can go hand-in-hand with wits and give the video precisely the edge it needs to win the contest.
