Synopsis:
Ben must be Native American. Ben is a fresh faced, affable college student who is relentlessly driven to get to the protest at a distant college. Ben’s lack of direct connection to the native world does little to suppress his passion for Native issues. Though his Native features are present, they are more subtle than his peers. Ben works very hard to be seen as Native and feels that by dressing in regalia and protesting the loudest, he’ll prove his ‘Indian-ness’ without understanding what that will mean to him.

Mascots is the dramatic coming- of- age story of Ben, a part Native American, who is dead set on protesting the use of Native Americans as Mascots at a distant college along with college classmates, Karen and Joseph.

The roles of the Native American characters are to be filled with actual Native Americans, please.
