Casting Call Details

Film

I am a film student at the University of Texas, and I am taking a directing course this fall. The first assignment is to direct my own version of a scene from a previously published, produced, or performed script. I have chosen a scene from the recent David Cronenberg movie "A History of Violence."

The job requires a commitment of about a month and a half. We will be doing several rehearsals, which will be scheduled for nights and/or weekends. On the night of September 26, we will present our scene live to the class. In the week or two following that, we will shoot the scene on video, after which we will be finished. This job is unpaid, although food will be provided as needed, and the actors will receive DVD copies of the finished product.
