Zen: Hunter is an erotic (not porn) horror project, similar to a vampire story, but without a lot of the clich?s common in the genre. In fact, the word "vampire" is never used in the screenplay. The story is compelling, and deals not only with the horror elements of bloodlust and violence, but friendship and devotion to friends.

We are targeted to begin shooting in Spring of 2009.

The actors selected for the roles of Zen, Quintana, and the victims will be required to wear heavy effects make-up in some scenes, as there is a lot of blood/gore involved. Also, some physical agility on the part of the victims would be nice. Victims must be able to project fear/horror effectively.

The producer/director on the project is Jim DeVault ("The Sisters Four," "A Grave Waiting," "2:08 (a love story)"). Payment is negotiable for key roles, on the back end, and small, but it's a feature credit. We generally work on a very limited budget. Non-union. We will be shooting digital. Mostly weekend work, over several weeks.
