A loyal and loving friend to Carita, Alex believes it’s her job to shake her friend out of a destructive romantic obsession.

Once successful but now blocked New York artist, Carita Locke, is frightened about her future. She is adrift in a world full of people busy connecting through techno gadgets. A winter storm blows her off course into a dramatic, life changing encounter with a Serbian immigrant who has been on the edge of her world, but who she never noticed.

Brooklyn Young Filmmakers Center (BYFC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (www.wearebyfc.org ). Our intergenerational Community Filmmaking Project has produced five films in the two and a half years. Our “Teaching Story” films tell adult stories that are meant to generate discussion.

We use emerging Directors of Photography and Gaffers, who work with our intergenerational production team made up of BYFC students from our “MAKE A FILM” Class where the script is developed.

Rehearsals will start mid-August. The two day film shoot will be the second weekend in September in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
