RAAD KUMAR, 47, is an Iraqi-American grocer, a self-made man who began as a poor immigrant and has built a life for himself and his family. Now he is struggling to raise his son, RYAN, 17, during this difficult time for both of them.

Boxer is a short film that tells the story of RYAN KUNAR, 17, a young boxer of Iraqi descent. One night, at a high school graduation party, Ryan gets forced into a fight; he delivers a potentially fatal blow that puts his opponent in the hospital. As Ryan waits to see if his opponent will live, his family prepares to send him out of the country.

18-page script; estimated length of final film is 15 minutes.

Will be shot on location in Chicago over the course of two weekends in April.
