Synopsis:
A Latino immigrant that would rather be happy than rich. He struggles with the conflict between fulfilling the expectations of the ones he loves and pursuing his dreams. He lacks day to day confidence and has always deferred to his brother. Always the giver never the taker. On the soccer field his confidence is rock solid. He can do it all, everything but score.

FSU MFA Thesis Film:
Bailar tells the story of two brothers, Ricardo and Hernan Saragossa, who have immigrated from Latin America. They work during the day to get by and they play soccer at night to live. Their entire life they have lived and worked as a team. Ricardo makes the play. Hernan finishes it. Their relationship is tested when Ricardo takes a chance of his own. Ricardo pursues playing soccer as a profession and sees a happier life. All Hernan can see is a wasted opportunity and a life of uncertainty. Bailar is a human story, a drama set against the back drop of the world’s game.
