Synopsis:
Stu is the prime example of why college shouldn’t last longer than five years. Despite his cheesy demeanor, Stu actually has a very pragmatic outlook on life, one that relies heavily on peoples’ desire for cheap thrills. He acknowledges that he is chauvinistic, but doesn’t take responsibility. Instead, he prefers to blame the system. Deep down, Stu is impressed by intelligence, especially from females, but it also threatens his entire existence. Stu is insecure about not only his age (late 20’s/early 30’s), but is even more insecure about his abilities as a filmmaker. He is on a constant quest to prove his creative worth and erects his biggest wall around this insecurity, going on the offensive to deflect any criticism by way of a confident jab. Because of his insecurity, it’s obvious Stu prefers to remain a big fish in a small university pond where qualified opinions of his abilities can’t quite reach.

Pulling University is holding a campus-wide contest for any student organization to create the next promo video for the school’s admissions department due to sagging numbers. The winning organization will receive a $25,000 donation made to the philanthropy of their choice. The ladies of a local sorority enter the contest, but their president, Eliza, decides to hire a sleazy production company headed by the self-proclaimed “King of Wedding Videos,” Stu McNamara. Ryan recently lost the election to Eliza and finds this new direction repulsive, along with Stu’s personality. As a sister who many in the chapter look up to, Ryan takes it upon herself to fight the shenanigans of Stu’s “creative vision” at every turn, while also facing down her insecurities about her appearance. Ultimately, Ryan will have to step out and prove that looks can go hand-in-hand with wits and give the video precisely the edge it needs to win the contest.
