Raymond Blackwell Jr. is a writer haunted by his childhood. Afraid he will become abusive like his father, he begins to distance himself from his wife and son. Meanwhile, his father falls ill and needs someone to care for him so Raymond is forced to face his anger and hurt and decide if he is willing to mend the relationship with his father before it is too late.
